Cardiopulmonary Rehab
Breathe Better. Move Stronger. Live Healthier.
The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team at Progressive Health of Houston is staffed with Registered Respiratory Therapists and healthcare providers that help incorporate diet, medications and mental health along with improving overall lung and heart health.
Our professional staff supervises and monitors you throughout the rehabilitation period, according to your specific needs.
Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is often recommended for patients with heart and lung conditions to improve physical function and overall health. Common diagnoses that qualify include heart conditions like heart attack, heart failure, coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, angina, and arrhythmias.
Pulmonary conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, post-lung surgery, and cystic fibrosis also qualify. Rehab helps manage symptoms, improve endurance, and reduce the risk of further complications, supporting recovery and enhancing quality of life.
The duration of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation typically ranges from 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the patient's condition, goals, and progress. Most programs consist of 3 sessions per week, lasting about 30 to 60 minutes each.
Sessions are held on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
